Former US President Donald Trump on Thursday penned a grievance- filled resignation letter to the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

The union had invited Mr. Trump to a disciplinary hearing citing his role in inciting pro- Republican mob that attacked the U.S. Capitol last month.

“I write to you today regarding the so-called Disciplinary Committee hearing aimed at revoking my union membership. Who cares!” He wrote saying that he was resigning with immediate effect.

Apart from running a vast business empire and before joining politics, Mr. Trump had featured in several television shows and movies. Some of his notable appearance were in The Apprentice, ‘Home Alone 2,’ ‘Zoolander’ and ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’, ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,’ and ‘Saturday Night Live.’
