Two armed robbers who were threatening people in the wake of a wake-up call today in Kawangware, were shot dead by police officers while a third was lucky enough to escape.

According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI), officers who were patrolling on foot within stage 56, responded with a temporary voice after the robbers had attacked the man with a gun.

Earlier, the officers had challenged them to surrender but the robbers shot them, resulting in a massive shooting that resulted in the death of the two.

However, one of them escaped on a motorcycle whose identity was hidden.

A 9mm round gun was found and handed over to DCI football experts for examination.

Meanwhile, the bodies of the injured people were transferred to the City morgue, awaiting identification.
