Tanzanian football club Young Africans almaarufu Yanga has appointed Tunisian national Nasreddine Nabi as his new coach on a one-and-a-half year contract.

Nabi is taking over the coaching of the club that leads the table of the mainland Tanzanian Premier League from Burundian Cedric Kaze who resigned by agreement last month.

According to Yanga general secretary Haji Mfikira, Nabi was appointed from a large number of coaches who had applied for the job and believed he would bring the best results.

Nabi has coached Sudan’s El Merreikh and has said he will consider the rest of the season to win the title and will be the first coach from Tunisia to lead the team in Tanzania.
