The Ministry of Health records 132 cases of COVID-19 – National Radio

The Ministry of Health in the country has recorded 132 cases of viral infection after testing 4,220 samples in the last 24 hours.

This brings the total number of HIV infections in the country to 102,353 with a total of 1,228,047 samples tested.

Of the new cases, 111 were Kenyans and 21 were foreign nationals.

70 cases are for men and 62 are for women, all between the ages of 11 and 96.

Nairobi County has recorded 96 visas, Kiambu 8, Taita Taveta 6, Kisumu 4, Nakuru 4, Meru 3, Kilifi 2, Mombasa 2, Uasin Gishu 2, Embu 1, Garissa 1, Machakos 1, Kajiado 1 and Kericho 1.

Sixty-two patients have recovered from the virus, 45 came out of the home care program while 17 have recovered from hospitals across the country.

The total number of survivors is now 84,790.

However, three more patients have died from the disease, bringing the total death toll to 1,794.

Currently 360 patients are being treated in various hospitals in the country while 1,292 patients are being treated in a home-based care program.
