The Deputy President meets with those working in the entertainment industry


The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya William Samoei Ruto today hosted music artists, record holders ie Djs and others who earn a living through entertainment.

On his confirmed Facebook page, the Deputy President posted pictures of today’s meeting at his residence in Karen.

The pictures indicate that they followed the principles of preventing the spread of Covid 19 mainly by maintaining the distance between them.

He said the main purpose of today’s meeting was to discuss the challenges these artists are going through during this difficult time and to receive feedback on how to address them.

According to the leader, the artists proposed the creation of a fund to support those working in the entertainment industry while volunteering to help in reducing the spread of Covid 19.

The artists volunteered to partner with the health ministry in implementing a kite campaign in Kenya with the aim of reducing Covid 19 infections.

The only thing they have asked for is a timeline for the implementation of Covid 19, so that they can plan and know when they will return to their careers.

The Deputy President promised to take their grievances and recommendations to the national dealing committee
Covid 19.

The group was led by musician Brian Robert Ouko popularly known as Khaligraph.

Those present included Dj Pierra Makena, musician Nomini, Willy Paul Among others.
