State House spokesman Kanena Dena Mararo said President Uhuru Kenyatta would welcome the Tanzanian president to the White House in Nairobi.

Last month, Kenya sent Sports Minister Amina Mohamed to Tanzania for talks to strengthen ties between the two countries.

President Suluhu said his government was committed to resolving the various challenges between Tanzania and Kenya.

During Amina’s visit to Tanzania, Suluhu instructed a permanent joint commission to meet and coordinate programs that could strengthen relations between the two countries.

Suluhu was sworn in in February and became the first female president in Tanzania following the death of the country’s former president Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.

Reconciliation visit to Kenya will be his second since his inauguration as president, after visiting Uganda and being welcomed by President Yoweri Museveni.
