Last month, President Kenyatta sent CS CS Amina Mohamed to Tanzania for talks in an effort to mend fences between the two countries.

During the meeting, the Head of State also invited President Samia to come to Nairobi.

Amina’s visit to Tanzania was also aimed at conveying the message of Uhuru Kenyatta to a solution when there was a strained relationship between Tanzania and Kenya.

President Samia Suluhu reiterated his administration’s readiness and commitment to work closely with Kenya to strengthen bilateral trade and mutual interests.

“President Suluhu is committed to continuing with what the late President John Magufuli did to ensure that all nations are equally connected,” Tanzanian spokesman Gerson Msigwa said in a statement.
