Semi- trailer plunges into the Indian Ocean

A trailer reportedly plunged into the Indian Ocean early Wednesday morning at the Likoni Ferry station.

According to reports, the trailer’s driver lost control of the motor as he maneuvered his way into the ferry enroute to Mombasa.

At the time of this publishing, no injuries were reported although the incident caused a huge congestion at the station.

The incident comes just three days after a Passenger bus also plunged into the ocean.

According to witnesses the driver of the Pollman’s tourist bus lost control of it before it fell into the ocean. All passengers were rescued.

This had followed up a similar incident in December when a 33-year-old woman lost her life after her car plunged into the Indian Ocean.

Winnie Achieng was in the company of her 12-year-old son enroute to Mombasa when the incident occurred. Her son however swum to safety and was treated with minor injuries.
