Ruto’s UDA Appoints Journalist as Head of Communication


  • The United Democratic Alliance has appointed Wanjohi Githae as the party’s Communications Director while strengthening its strategy ahead of the 2022 general election.

    The party, which is affiliated with Deputy President William Ruto, announced that the political correspondent would lead his strategies forward

    The party appointed Wanjohi Githae as the party’s Director of Communications on Friday, 29.

    Wanjohi Githae, a renowned writer and editor, worked for the Nation Media group. The political writer describes himself as a â € œdependent spectator of the waves in men’s affairsâ €.

    Previously, he worked for Media Max as a writer. In 2015, he was fired along with other journalists while the media house was undergoing a restructuring process.

    UDA Secretary General Veronica Maina in the statement added that Githae will oversee the party’s publication, advertising and communication on the internet.

    Rarely last week, Ruto held talks with former CBK Governor Prof. Njuguna Ndungâ € ™ u who served for eight years at CBK.

    He will be instrumental in formulating the party’s economic strategy. The vice president confirmed his loyalty by saying that the professor worked for UON, IDRC and KIPPRA.

    In an effort to build the economy, Ruto unveiled his main plan which is to build the economy from the bottom up.

    The Deputy President held a meeting with Khaligraph Jones and other artists at his Karen residence. In that discussion session, they discussed steps that could be put in place to help artists.

    They made recommendations that Ruto made to the National Emergency Response Committee on how to move around the recreation area during this difficult time.
