The President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan is scheduled to pay a two-day State Visit to Kenya on 4 and 5 May 2021 at the invitation of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

During the visit, Heads of State will hold bilateral talks aimed at strengthening good relations between the two countries.

Kenya is the largest investor in Tanzania while Tanzania’s exports to Kenya have been at a high level in the last decade.

Kenya and Tanzania are members of the East African Community which is currently headed by President Kenyatta.

Upon arrival at the State House, President Suluhu will inspect the honorary guard and receive 21 gun salutes before proceeding with bilateral meetings and consultations.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta will host an official State dinner at His Excellency the State House.

The two presidents will hold consultations at a business forum for the Tanzanian and Kenyan business community. President Suluhu Hassan will also attend a meeting with women executives in business.

During the State of the Nation Address he will address a joint sitting of the National Assembly and the Senate of Kenya.

The Government’s visit comes at a time when Kenya and Tanzania are working closely to strengthen trade and human relations, including the private sector, arts, culture, wildlife issues, tourism and cooperation at continental and regional levels. many.
