President Kenyatta urges cooperation among leaders, Kenyans – Radio National

President Uhuru Kenyatta has called for unity among leaders and Kenyans in general to achieve development agenda across the country.

In addition, the President has called on church leaders in general to continue to pray for peace, unity and development in the country.

“I urge you to have the heart to love and cooperate because this will and unity will help us to ensure we have built a peaceful nation, jobs and development,” said the President.

Speaking while attending a mass service at Arch Angel Michael Catholic Church, in Chaka Nyeri County, President Kenyatta reminded Kenyans that a God-fearing nation is prosperous.

The president has also pledged his support to complete the ongoing construction of the church.

The President later visited the site where construction of the Market is underway in Chaka City, a market that aims to be one of the largest markets in the country.

He said when the market is completed it will provide business opportunities for the residents of the area as well as boost the market for their produce.

The president was accompanied by various officials from the area, including Nyeri County Governor Mutahi Kahiga, Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe, Transport Minister James Macharia and local MP Kanini Kega.

Later this afternoon the President is expected to meet with youth groups at the Sagana State House.

It is the third day of his working visit to the Mount Kenya region where he is consulting with officials, inspecting and launching development projects.
