Police Find New Lead at Kitengela Club Where Murdered Friends Were Kidnapped


  • Police officers have set up a new leadership in the case where four friends went missing on Monday, April 19, shortly after eating at a popular club in Kitengela.

    Detectives familiar with the investigation are trying to uncover the identities of two men believed to be male and his girlfriend who they believe could reveal the effects of the Kitengela quartet before disappearing.

    In addition, reports indicated that a fierce police officer was involved in the kidnappings and deaths of the four friends.

    The malicious officer is said to have assisted Kitengela’s quartet in allegations of crimes they are reported to have committed as part of a larger gang.

    According to police reports, Brian Oduor alias Champe along with Benjamin Imbai had pending cases before the Mavoko and Kibera Law Courts.

    They are all believed to have been the bosses of a criminal gang and had to run several times by law several times.

    The four men; Jack Ochieng, Benjamin Imbai, Brian Odor and Elijah Obuong, went missing after having lunch at a popular club in Kitengela.

    Currently, the bodies of two of the four friends have been identified by their families over the weekend. Elijah Obuong’s body was found near the Mukungai River along the Murang’a-Iyego-Kangema road.

    Benjamin Imbai’s body was later found at the General Kago Funeral Home in Thika.

    The body believed to be Ochieng was discovered in Murang’a County. Ochieng’s family, however, denied the body confirming that it did not have the same body marks as their relatives.

    Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai recently instructed the Director of Criminal Investigation (DCI) to form a special team to investigate the deaths of missing persons.

    “The special team is expected to report for one month. I have instructed the DCI assassination team to investigate this matter to bring it to an end. The team has already started its work, â € Mutyambai said.
