Parliament convenes special sessions to discuss the BBI bill


The National Assembly will convene special sessions on Wednesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 29.

Both sessions will be held in the morning and in the afternoon.

The legislature is expected to review the interview report for the nominees for the post of chairman of the TSC.

In addition, the legislature will review the interview report of the nominee for the post of senior secretary who will be responsible for curriculum revisions.

Similarly the appeal for the removal of Ms. Tabitha Mutemi as a member of the media council in the country, will be discussed

In addition, the national parliament will discuss the Senate amendments to the 2021 bill on revenue sharing, as well as the third reading of a bill on the country’s reconciliation plan (BBI).

Only 112 lawmakers will be allowed in parliament, in line with the health ministry’s directives to keep distance to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
