Panic has continued to spread among former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko’s friends after anti-terror police turned to them in an ongoing crackdown.

Sonko is currently remanded at the Gigiri police cells for allegedly arming militia groups and financing terrorist activities.

And as the drama continues, police over the weekend arrested eight aides of the former governor and searched their houses.

The cops in plainclothes seized military-related items like knives and jungle camouflage military uniforms.

Among notable associates of the ex-county chief who are already in police custody include Clifford Ouko and Benjamin Ochieng who were accused of attempting to rescue Sonko.
