NMS Test Run in Green Park Terminus – LitKenya


The Nairobi Central City Service (NMS) on Tuesday morning, April 27 conducted a test at the Green Park Center in Nairobi.

All PSVs approaching the CBD from Ngong Road and Uhuru Highway between 6am and 9am were suspending their journeys in the park and exit through Uhuru Park.

According to NMS Transport Engineer, Michael Ochieng ‘who was on the site said that the attempt to run dry was to identify and solve the challenges that may arise before the official launch next month.

“We are looking to look at security services even for the disabled, pregnant women, and others who cannot reach the city. We have also arranged for the Kenya Railway which will provide passenger buses to the city free of charge,” Ochieng ‘said.

Green Park Terminus, a state-of-the-art digital terminal. It manages a Police Station, Level 2 Hospital, a restaurant, supermarkets, a taxi / boda boda bay, a damaged car service port.

The Non-Vehicle Transport System, the existing NMT system offers options for cyclists and pedestrians to reach the CBD, walking and cycling routes are extended outside the stations.

Immediately after the launch of the Nairobi Green Park Bus Terminus (formerly Lunar Park) is set to solve the traffic problem within the Nairobi CBD.
