All public transport vehicles serving the streets of Ngong, Kibra, Rongai, and Dagoretti dropped off passengers at the new Green Park station.

NMS service director of road engineer Michale Ochieng, who led the exercise, said construction of the center would be completed shortly before the official launch next month.

Ochieng said the pilot exercise would give them an opportunity to identify existing gaps with a view to making sure everything is in order before launch.

The construction of the center is part of the Nairobi NMS service plan, to reduce traffic congestion by phasing out passenger vehicles from the city center.

The passengers who boarded the cars that ended their journeys at the station were mesto, who supported the move saying it would facilitate transport to and from the city.

All public transport vehicles using Ngong and Langanta roads will be carrying and unloading passengers at the station.
