Ministry of Health confirms 129 new crown infections – National Radio

The number of coronary infections in the country has increased to 101,819 after another 129 people became infected 24 hours ago.

The Ministry of Health has confirmed this after examining 4,797 samples and delivering a total of 1,214,742 samples tested.

Of those confirmed today, 96 are Kenyans while 33 are foreign nationals. Gender, 69 are men and 60 are women.

The youngest patient is one year old and the oldest is 81 years old.

Nairobi County continues to lead by reporting the highest number of 87 new infections with Uasin Gishu reporting 12 cases, Kiambu 11, Machakos 4, Kisumu 3, Isiolo 2, Kajiado 2, Laikipia 2, Bungoma 1, Kericho 1, Kilifi 1, Meru 1 , Mombasa 1 and Nyamira 1.

The Ministry of Health has also confirmed the recovery of 59 patients who were suffering from COVID-19.

Of those, 34 were in the home care program while 25 were allowed to leave from various health facilities in the country.

To date, a total of 84,361 patients have recovered from the disease.

According to the ministry’s report, three patients have been confirmed dead in 24 hours, leaving 1,779 victims at risk.

The report also said a total of 391 patients are being treated at health facilities while 1,378 are in home care.

37 patients are in intensive care units, 15 of them using respirators and 18 receiving extra oxygen.
