Oscar Peter Nabulindo, a candidate for the ANC ticket in the Matungu by-elections, has urged Matungu residents to elect a leader with a vision for development rather than being deceived by money and false promises.

Speaking to KBC by phone Nabulindo who emerged second in the 2017 election losing to the late Justus Murunga, said he aims to give priority to the improvement of student education through the provision of popular scholarships such as bursaries, strengthening infrastructure, increasing electricity distribution and designing economic development projects for youth and mothers.

“I would like to urge the people of Matungu to stand firm, to know that the votes are in their hands and when they vote they are defending their lives, nowadays there are people who plan to bribe them to vote for them, there are people who plan to buy their vote or bribe them. I urge you to be careful, ”said Nabulindo

Nabulindo who is a businessman will face former local MP David Were for Odm tickets and Alex Lanya of UDA along with more than 6 private candidates.

Matungu by-elections will be held on March 6 this year and was left open following the death of MP Justus Murunga late last year.
