The National Library Service (KNLS) has announced that all 64 of its branches in the country will be reopened on Monday to resume its normal operations.

The announcement comes seven months after the public library closed down due to the outbreak of the country’s crown virus.

In a public notice, the institute’s administrators revealed that all library clients are encouraged to adhere to the conditions to prevent the spread of the crown virus.

Hours of service remain between 2 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and two and a half hours to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

However, the libraries will be closed on Sundays and during public holidays.

The main library office has been relocated to the Central Library building in the Community area from Buruburu area.

The state-of-the-art Central Library building was officially opened by President Uhuru Kenyatta in November last year.
