The council has issued a tender to transfer the machines in two phases to the Comarco sea travel company from Mombasa to Lamu.

Over the weekend, the company in collaboration with engineers from KPA began loading machines that do not require loading and unloading on a ship expected to depart Mombasa today.

Other special machines that need attention will be shipped from May 5th.

The construction of Lamu Port at a cost of 40 billion shillings has been completed and other necessary machinery needed to establish the port will arrive by the 20th of next month.
