A woman has been arraigned in court after allegedly stealing a gas canister from a neighbour’s house in Kilifi Street.
Stella Mosy, 32, allegedly on March 23, entered Calvin Omondi’s home and disappeared with a cooking gas canister.
The court was told that the complainant had left his house a little but before he could get far, he saw the woman fleeing with the pitcher.
“I had reached a distance of about 20 meters when I saw him escape with my gas canister, I screamed, people came to help me and we arrested him and took him to the police station,” said Omondi.
In the presence of Resident Magistrate Sifuna Daniel Sitati, the accused denied the charges and was released on bail of 50 thousand shillings or 10 thousand shillings in cash.
The trial is set to begin on February 17.
