Speaking in Kerugoya after holding a meeting with members of the Narc Kenya party, Karua He said the move to scold some leaders when they visit some parts of the country is alarming.

He condemned the incident in Githurai on Wednesday when former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s meeting to promote the BBI process was disrupted by people believed to be leaning on the side of deputy president William Ruto.

Karua called on politicians to discuss the issue with their supporters and to allow people to express their views without disturbing them for the sake of maintaining peace in the country.

The leader lashed out at government officials who use the police to tear down those who oppose the BBI process, saying all Kenyans should be protected regardless of their stance.
