Through a statement, the Kenyan embassy in India is asking the Kenyans to submit their names as they were recorded in the passport, passport numbers as well as their addresses and those of their relatives apart from the reason for their presence in the country.

The statement, signed by Kenya’s ambassador to India, Willy Bett, reassured Kenyans that the government has put in place measures to help control the spread of the virus.

He advised Kenyans based in India to create network groups such as WhatsApp to facilitate communication.

It is estimated that more than 900 Kenyans live in New Delhi and other cities in the country.

On Saturday, India recorded 346,786 visas which is the highest number in the world to be copied per day.
