Kenya records 511 new cases of Korona infection


The Ministry of Health has recorded 511 new cases of COVID-19 infections after testing 4,020 samples in the past 24 hours, with an infection rate of 12.7 percent.

This brings the total number of HIV infections in the country to 157,492, with a total of 1,651,008 samples tested.

Of the new cases, 477 were Kenyans and 35 were foreign nationals.

280 cases are for men while 231 are for women, both between the ages of five days and 93 years.

467 patients have recovered from the virus, 385 have come out of the home care program while 82 have recovered from hospitals across the country. The total number of survivors is now 107,303.

However, 22 more patients died from the disease bringing the total death toll to 2,665.

Currently 1,365 patients have been admitted to various hospitals in the country while 6,926 patients are being treated in the home-based care program.
