Olaba was arrested in west Nairobi and police say he was planning to remove a key witness in the case in an effort to win justice.

He was arrested when he was confronted by a detective investigating the murder of a witness.

Police confiscated two calls from Alaba which are being investigated to determine if there were more players in the crime.

Reports indicate that Olaba had gone to another party to find ways to remove the witness.

Police were alerted and took immediate action by sending a detective who pretended to be the perpetrator of the message that led to Olaba’s arrest.

Following his arrest, Olaba, police said, claimed he had an evil spirit.

He is being held in court on charges of attempted murder and conspiracy to win justice.

Olaba and Wanyama are facing charges of rape in the Milimani court and are all out on Sh300,000 bail.

The two were sentenced to 15 years in prison in August 2019 after being found guilty of gang rape

The Supreme Court, however, quashed the sentence in June last year and ordered a re-hearing following an appeal filed by the defendants.

Judge Ngenye Macharia ordered the case to be re-heard in the lower court after the Supreme Court found that the available records did not indicate whether one of the witnesses in the case was sworn in or not.

The dancers were charged by singer Wendy Kemunto for repeatedly sexually abusing her in their Seefar Apartment on February 10, 2018.
