Fifa Releases Zoo FC Over Match Adjustment –

In another big step in the fight against match-fixing in Kenya, Fifa has knocked down Zoo FC of the Kenyan Premier League.

Zoo FC, a brand new club based in Kericho, Rift Valley, from next season will take part in the National Premier League after the world governing body found them guilty of participating in match-fixing.

“Fifa’s Disciplinary Committee considers Zoo FC to be responsible for the fraudulent activities of football matches,” read a statement from Fifa.

No special case was mentioned.

It is the third time Fifa has punished match planning in Kenya.

In recent steps, they banned former Harambee Stars defender George Owino for ten years, while four Kakamega Homeboyz players were given a four-year ban each.
