The vice president explained through his social media accounts the issues they discussed including complaints and suggestions which he promised to submit to the national corona response committee.

Among the artists’ proposals is the creation of an artist support fund which DNG says will not work in Kenya perhaps in western countries where there is prosperity. He cited the NHIF fund, which he says does not pay for Covid-19 treatment.

DNG, who specializes in music festivals, says 100 million donated to cover artists due to the effects of the Covid-19 disaster disappeared.

He wanted to know if any artist was paid for organizing the art work on the Covid 19 tragedy as there was such a plan in the ministry of sports and national heritage.

Ngibuini feels that the Deputy President was not the right leader to direct the grievances of artists as he has been saying that he has been discriminated against in the government. According to him, the artists would send their proposals such as awareness campaigns about Corona, to the health ministry which he says has money set aside for such use.

In his view, the artists wasted their time on Saturday except that they had the opportunity to be photographed by the Deputy president and perhaps earned a small amount of gratitude thanks to attending the conference.
