‘Controversial’ Pastor Godfrey Migwi Joins Politics, Wants to Remove Mathioya MP Peter Kimari –

Pastor and political commentator Godfrey Migwi has joined politics and is expected to seek re-election in 2022.

According to a poster post seen by Coffee Tungu, Migwi will run for Mathioya’s parliamentary seat which is currently held by Peter Kimari.

It is unclear which party Migwi will use to stab him in politics.

He becomes the third candidate to announce his candidacy for the seat after incumbent MP Peter Kimari, former MP Clement Muchiri Wambugu.

Migwi had a religious program ‘Kwenjera Uma Wa Mandiko’ (analyzing the truth of the word) every Wednesday on Kameme Radio Station with the man Nyari and Kamlesh.

He was fired in July 2019, after showing open support for a senior politician who wants to become President in 2022.

He would later explain his dismissal and his criticism of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

In May 2020, Migwi claimed that his life was in danger, and that ‘powerful’ people were claiming that his church was on a road reserve, after continuing to attack the President.

Pastor Migwi will not be the first priest to join politics, and other notable people are Pastor Pius Muiru and Bishop Margret Wanjiru.
