Citizen TV ranked the most viewed station in Kenya

Citizen TV has once again been ranked as the most viewed station in Kenya with 35 percent viewership, this according to a report by Media Council of kenya (MCK).

The report has also ranked NTV Kenya second at 13 percent followed by KTN Homes , KTN News and Inooro TV at 11percent , 9 percent and 7 percent respectively.

K24 came 6th position followed by Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC), Switch TV , KTN Burudani , Kass TV and Gikuyu TV.

The report which was released on Friday by MCK Chief Executive Officer ( CEO) David Omwoyo, revealed that 55% of Kenyans had more time to read and listen to news and content due to covid-19 guidelines.

“On Media report, there was a slight rise in TV Vioewership,” Omwoyo said

For Radio Listenership, Radio Citizen also maintained the lead at 19 percent followed by Radio Jambo at 14 percent, Radio Maisha at 10 percent, Inooro FM at 5 percent , Milele FM at 5 percent, Classic 105 , Radio Taifa, Ramogi FM and Musyi FM stands at 3 percent respectively while Kass FM, Kiss 100 and Chamgei are at 2 percent eaach.

According to MCK, Hot 96, Muuga FM, Radio Namlolwe, Mulembe FM, Sulwe FM, Capital FM, Egesa FM, NRG Radio, KBC English service and Ghetto Radio are all ranked at 1 percent.
