Responding to Koome’s letter of application, Havi said his comments on the Court of Appeal Judge were given in the public interest.

“I do not need to comment further on the question of whether Judge Koome’s reputation has been tarnished in the minds of Kenyan social activists: JSC commissioners, judges, court officials and lawyers,” Havi said.

“It is unfortunate that after praising the almighty for his rise to the peak of the legal profession, he seems to be starting to write in a bad way.

He also blamed the CJ nominee who will be investigated by Parliament for not being transparent.

“He is determined to ensure that no one questions his conduct even before his appointment is approved by the national assembly,” Havi said.

Koome has threatened to sue the LSK president for a scandal of “shame, ridicule, and odium” based on JSC records.

He also accused Havi of trying to deprive the “Chief Justice’s nominee of the opportunity to continue his work as a judge by law, and to tarnish him forever and tarnish his good reputation.”

“Since the writing and publication of these offensive words, our client has been left out, avoided and treated with suspicion and suspicion by their peers in the legal community as well as in the Court, not forgetting friends and family members,” read the letter.

“He is always required to defend himself against these fundamental and evil claims, and has incurred losses, damages, costs, fees and costs.”

Through his lawyers, Koome demanded that Havi return and withdraw the document within seven days in writing to JSC and LSK.

He also demanded that Havi apologize within seven days for writing and copying LSK and JSC.
