Andre Onana Slapped With A One Year Ban After Failing His Doping Test

Cameroon and Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana was on Friday 2nd February 2021 slapped with a twelve years ban after his urine was found with furosemide substance in October last year.

This means that the 24 years old from 5th February will not participate in any football activities both local and international.

In his defence, He said he mistakenly took the drug that was prescribed to her wife after falling sick.

Through his club social media handle, the club wrote.

“The disciplinary body of the European football association, UEFA, has imposed a suspension of 12 months on Andre Onana for a doping violation.”
