A former DRC minister has been convicted of money laundering


A former prime minister in the Democratic Republic of Congo has been sentenced to three years in prison for money laundering and money laundering.

Prosecutors have investigated Willy Bakonga in connection with the theft of funds intended to fund a free education program in the country’s primary schools.
